Billy Dunne (owner)

5th Dan - Kick Thai Boxing
Black Belt - Tae Kwon Do
Also - Boxing and Self Defence

"I started my first lesson in 1976, in Sherwood - Nottingham, above the "Robin Hood" pub. I was 16 years of age and the instructor was a women named Hillary.

When I moved to Ilkeston, I trained with Ray Evans for 8 years. Ray is a top martial arts man; who still teaches in Ilkeston today.

I did a lot of boxing in the 1980's with Stuart Shaw and Richard Penansai from Alfreton. I trained in Kick Thai Boxing and TaeKwonDo at Grandmaster Vohra's Academy on Ilkeston Road, Nottingham with Master Vohra (8th Dan).

I was a doorman at various pubs and clubs in and around Notts. Back then it was tough on the doors - you needed to prove yourself or you wouldn't last long. They were hard but very good old days!

In 2004, I set up the "INCREDIBLE" Kick Boxing Academy - mainly teaching all ages around my local area of Wymeswold. I decided we needed a gym as we had a lot of of people wanting to come and train with us. We could not afford to rent anywhere so in 2007, I located it above my premises - Nottingham Office Furniture and gradually aquired all the equipment we have today.

I promote charity fight nights, which gives all the fighters a chance to fight in the ring (if they wish to) plus raise money for local charities.

Its a great place to train, get fit and meet new friends - come and see me."
